13th Sep 2017

Kaplan Open Learning, an experienced learning provider and part of Kaplan International Pathways, has worked in partnership with the University of Essex since 2007 to deliver high-quality online degrees. On Friday 8th September, it was announced that this successful partnership was recognised within the wider education sector globally as Kaplan Open Learning was awarded the public/private partnership of the year award at the inaugural PIEoneer Awards.

The PIEoneer Awards 2017 took place at the home of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) in London on Friday 8th September, with 250 guests travelling from around the world to attend the dinner and award ceremony. After speeches and presentations, the party moved across the city to ‘The Gherkin’ for dancing and celebrations.

The PIEoneer Awards were created to honour achievement and recognise innovation in the international education industry. With a distinguished judging panel representing geographical and professional diversity, The PIEoneer Awards recognise both individuals and organisations who are pushing professional standards, evolving their engagement or redefining the international student experience.

Nicola Pittman, Managing Director, said: “We were absolutely delighted to receive the public/private partnership award at The PIEoneer Awards 2017. I would like to thank the panel of judges for their support, and I would also like to thank The PIE for hosting such a wonderful event. I would also like to take this opportunity to show my appreciation for the hard work and dedication carried out every day by every member of the Kaplan Open Learning team.”
