We’re excited to announce some changes to our MBA for the 2018-19 academic year.
These changes will ensure our students experience an academically rigorous MBA, tailored to the needs of industry, whilst aligning the programme to the AMBA standards.
Our brand new module, Director’s Workshops, brings industry leaders and outstanding speakers before our entire MBA student population for a week-long engaging experience. It’s a unique opportunity for students to apply their knowledge to a variety of commercial scenarios and explore real-world business challenges from different perspectives.
These interactive sessions will address a wide range of current and critical management issues, including:
- local and national industrial figures discussing current issues
- academics discussing their research and how it impacts business
- student-led discussions on business issues specific to their own industry or geography
These sessions offer an opportunity for experiential learning, giving students an enhanced opportunity to collaborate with fellow professionals from around the world and to learn through reflections on their experiences in the workshops.
Students can choose from a range of different sessions and topics throughout the year, provided they meet the minimum requirement of 120 hours over the course of your study. To this end, we have also included a zero-credit Synchronous Attendance module.
A variety of assessment methods
MBA students are assessed in a variety of different ways. They take part in collaborative group discussion forums, produce written coursework projects, reflect on their learning through journal entries, and attend the synchronous live events during Director’s Workshops.
We are also introducing open-book examinations to two of our modules: Managerial Economics and Accounting & Managerial Finance. These timed examinations aren’t anything like school exams –there’s no requirement to travel to an assessment centre, they can be completed from the comfort of your home, and you can pour over your notes and study materials throughout the test.
New scholarship offer
We’ve left the most exciting for last… we have a brand new MBA Scholarship available for those starting their course in 2018-19. Students may be eligible for a part-scholarship of up to £6,000 towards the tuition fees.
Scholarships applications are assessed on a merit basis and are available to all MBA applicants. This is on top of handy finance options including our monthly payment plan and our 10% discount for upfront payment.
