The National Student Survey (NSS) 2016, a high-profile census completed by over 86% of all final-year UK undergraduate students1, has given online education provider University of Essex Online a score of 90% for overall student satisfaction.

This places the University of Essex Online in the national top 10 for overall student satisfaction out of all English mainstream universities*.

The survey is conducted by HEFCE (the Higher Education Funding Council for England) and measures various aspects of each course through multiple-choice questions and student comments. Since 2005, over 2.5 million students2 have taken part, encompassing a total of 358 universities, colleges and alternative providers.

The average overall satisfaction score for 2016 stands at 85%, with the University of Essex Online’s result of 90% putting the provider in an extremely strong position.

Nicola Pittman, Managing Director for University of Essex Online said: “I am extremely proud that we have received this exceptional result in 2016. This result reinforces our reputation as a top higher education provider and further strengthens the global perception of online learning as a genuine alternative to campus study. On behalf of our team, I would like to thank and congratulate our 2016 students and graduates.”
