University of Essex Online today announces the launch of two new LLB (Hons) Law degree pathways: LLB (Hons) Law with Business and LLB (Hons) Law with Criminology. Both programmes are 100% online and part-time and are to be validated by the University of Essex.
University of Essex Online’s LLB (Hons) Law degree is an extremely popular programme, offering students the opportunity to achieve a Qualifying Law Degree (QLD) without compromising their work or family commitments. The introduction of these two additional pathways will allow students to achieve this same qualification while also developing in-depth knowledge of either business or criminology.
Both programmes will appeal to UK and international students, with modules covering a wide range of challenging and thought-provoking legal topics, including Contract and Tort Law, Land Law, Equity and Trusts and many more. Students will acquire a solid grounding in legal principles, including subject-specific abilities, intellectual skills, practical professional skills and general transferable skills delineated by the QAA subject benchmarks. This also includes the opportunity to obtain a qualifying degree for those who wish to achieve professional recognition from the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and the Bar Standards Board.
The addition of specialist modules in Criminology and Business make these two programmes truly unique, offering the opportunity to develop subject-specific knowledge and highly-desirable workplace skills. Developed and taught by subject experts in both disciplines, the courses provide an excellent opportunity for students around the world to enhance their career development and improve their employability.
Dr Naila Anwar, Head of Law, said: “The LLB (Hons) Law with Criminology and LLB (Hons) Law with Business programmes are exciting new additions to the suite of undergraduate programmes offered by University of Essex Online. The Law, Criminology and Business departments have worked hard to create exciting and thought-provoking course content for our learners, and we can’t wait to tutor our first classes”.
The first intake for both the LLB (Hons) Law with Criminology and LLB (Hons) Law with Business will be in September 2017, with more planned at regular intervals throughout the year.
Students at University of Essex Online study entirely online using a virtual learning platform, receiving high-quality resources and support from experienced tutors.
