We have already introduced you to Alison Davies, our 2019 winner of the Alan Jenkins Memorial Award. But this isn’t the only prize we handed out at graduation!
We also gave out our Top Graduate Awards to the graduate with the highest average module grade in each of our graduate subjects.
Here are the video interviews from our winners – warning: there’s a lot of great inspiration contained in the videos below!
Top Undergraduate Business Graduate – Emily Wells
This prize was awarded by Head of Business James Ricci to Emily Wells, BA (Hons) Business and Marketing. Emily described receiving the award as “the cherry on top of the cake, of already getting the degree”. She said “when you come here for graduation it really puts it into perspective what you’ve actually done”.
Top Undergraduate Law Graduate – P. Shaun Barbour
Dr Naila Anwar presented this award to P. Shaun Barbour, LLB (Hons) Law. “It feels like my work has paid off,” he commented, and hopes to use the course to further his career in legal advising: “the end goal for me is to advise internationally concerning intellectual property specifically and regulated translational research.”
Top Undergraduate Criminology Graduate – Helen Lord
Our Deputy Academic Director, Janey Henderson presented this award to Helen Lord, BA (Hons) Criminology and Criminal Justice. Upon receiving it, she commented that “I never would have thought that I would have won an award or even probably pass the degree” but that “the course has given me so much confidence that I didn’t have before.”
Congratulations to all of our undergraduate award winners!
