What will I study on the MSc Engineering Management?
Throughout the MSc Engineering Management, you’ll learn essential information in areas including finance, operations, lifecycle value and project management. You’ll also explore the fundamentals of management practices, how to lead to drive change and gain an overview of key project management techniques such as PRINCE2 and AGIILE thinking. Your final module gives you the chance to research any topic within business and management and produce a major piece of academic writing.
By the end of the MSc Engineering Management, you’ll be perfectly aligned for a career as an Engineering Manager, Technical Programme Manager, Systems Engineer, or Operations Manager – whichever you decide.
What are the entry requirements?
At the University of Essex Online, we’re committed to making education accessible to everyone regardless of background. That’s why we offer two routes for our MSc Engineering Management course. For the academic entry route, you’ll need a relevant undergraduate degree from an approved institution, equivalent to a UK Honours degree, or a relevant professional qualification. And for the work experience entry route, we require at least three years’ relevant work experience. You’ll also need to meet our English language requirements.
Looking for a shorter course?
The MSc Engineering Management has a study duration of two years, but if you’re looking for a shorter study option, we also have the 120-credit PG Dip Engineering Management with 16-month duration and the 60-credit PG Cert Engineering Management with an eight-month duration.
