University of Essex Online has once more been ranked as the top online-only provider of higher education for overall student satisfaction in the recent National Student Survey (NSS).
This high-profile annual survey gathers opinions from nearly half a million undergraduate students during their final year. It is an influential source of public information about higher education institutions and helps to shape the future of courses for current and prospective students.
Overall, 89% of Essex Online students were satisfied with their courses. Our 2020 rating means we’ve continued to perform above the national average of 88% for student satisfaction.
We have seen a significant and consecutive increase in our Student Voice which improved by 5% since last year. We also continue to deliver an excellent satisfaction rating for both our business and law courses achieving 90% and 88% respectively. These are particularly impressive when compared to the national average for business (72%) and law (84%).
