Wednesday 17 April 2024 marked a huge milestone for over 200 students from 50 countries, as they finally became graduates of the University of Essex Online.
As an online university, our graduation day is an opportunity for students to celebrate their academic achievements and finally meet their classmates and tutors in person.
Spring 2024 celebrations
Students travelled from across the world to attend the graduation ceremony held at the University of Essex’s Colchester campus. The new graduates also enjoyed a reception in the campus Sports Centre, complete with refreshments, photographs and lots of time to celebrate well-deserved achievements with family and friends.

We look forward to celebrating more graduations in the future, with a summer 2024 ceremony already planned at the University of Essex’s Colchester campus. We’re delighted to have students from over 140 countries worldwide, making the higher education experience accessible to those around the globe. Over 5,000 students have gone on to successfully graduate already and join the University of Essex Online global alumni.
