I chose the University of Essex Online because it’s a well-known educational organisation with a high student satisfaction rate and huge variety of educational programmes.

I chose the online format of education because it was highly convenient and affordable for me as an international student. I had a full-time job and other commitments, so it was impossible for me to leave my work and study on campus.

I planned to write a dissertation and achieve a Masters degree right from graduation at the regional state university in 2007, but following my internships, work duties didn’t allow me to continue my education and I started working in the hospital as a regular clinician.

When my sister found this opportunity to study online, I was in professional burnout, so the possibility of getting a degree and changing my career helped me out. I could afford an online format and moreover, I got a scholarship from the University of Essex.

I chose the University of Essex Online because it’s a well-known educational organisation with a high student satisfaction rate and huge variety of educational programmes. A high-quality education, along with the affordable international fees and convenient payment plan, made the University of Essex Online stand out from other universities.

I consider the philosophy of science as the most important part of my study. The tutors provided me with a deep philosophical understanding of science and its tremendous role in the foundations of research and evidence-based medicine.

The Master of Public Health (MPH) isn’t just about mastering the standard subjects of a public health programme, but also about developing a critical mindset and a more profound view on the researched issue.

I hope that Ill be able to work for the benefit of society as a public health practitioner and a research scientist. Ive already been offered the opportunity to publish my first article which was appreciated by a peer-reviewed journal. My long-term goals are to work in the United Nations Organisation or the World Health Organisation, as well as continuing my education with the University of Essex in order to obtain a doctoral degree in public health.

At the time of starting the BA, I was 18 years old, and in my last year of college. It would have been really tough to access a campus-based university over an online study option.
