The course is exactly what I was looking for in terms of further development.

My online studying journey began as I wanted to start my career in HR without leaving my current environment, established network and routine. The University of Essex Online was unique in enabling me to truly learn at times that were convenient for me while still providing interesting and quality content.

What I appreciate most about studying online is the flexibility to study from anywhere, at any time and from any device. Even when your classes change, there’s still engagement with your fellow students through the discussion forums.

The course is exactly what I was looking for in terms of further development. It provides a more strategic view of HR, which some universities tend to skip over and the content is relevant to the current market situation. The added aspect of International HR Management, with a focus on culture, diversity and inclusion is crucial in today’s reality.

I am passionate about both the strategic design of HR, and learning and development, therefore, I aspire to become a professional in the field of L&D to create effective and knowledgeable teams that can provide companies with a competitive advantage.

I was looking after children who had fled armed conflict. It was here that I was convinced Public Health was the way to go to progress my career.

The course has its challenges, but I've learnt so much in both my professional and personal life. If it wasn’t for the course and the supportive tutors I've come across, I'd never have applied for my new role.

At the time of starting the BA, I was 18 years old, and in my last year of college. It would have been really tough to access a campus-based university over an online study option.
