The MSc Psychology has provided a solid foundation in both theoretical knowledge and practical applications, enabling me to critically analyse various psychological phenomena.
My academic journey began with a Bachelors in Hospitality Business Management, where I developed essential skills in communication, teamwork and critical thinking. However, I felt a strong pull towards the world of psychology, particularly psychological development and wellbeing of children and adolescents. I’ve always been passionate about understanding the complexities of human behaviour, which led me to pursue an MSc Psychology at the University of Essex Online.
As I progress through my Masters, I’m engaged in research that examines the factors influencing child psychology. This area fascinates me as I believe that early psychological development plays a crucial role in shaping individuals’ futures.
Living in Hong Kong, I’ve witnessed the diverse challenges children face in their development – from academic pressures to social dynamics. This has further fuelled my desire to contribute positively to this field. I’m interested in exploring how different environments impact children’s psychological health and what strategies can be implemented to support their wellbeing.
Throughout my time at the University of Essex Online, I’ve been actively involved in various student organisations, serving as a Student Representative and an ambassador for my course. These experiences have honed my leadership skills and allowed me to connect with fellow students and faculty, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
As I look to the future, I’m excited about the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the field of child psychology. I’m eager to continue my research and contribute to innovative programmes that support children’s mental health. My goal is to combine my academic knowledge with my passion for helping others, ultimately striving to create a positive change in the lives of children and adolescents.
